Borun New Energy & Sandi

The Certified Partners

I am here presenting you with new names in the solar market that can surly satisfy your requirements for solar energy. Requirements I am talking about are quality at fantastic prices. To confirm these requirements I present you these 2 brands that have been verified by best certification companies around. I buy directly from the factory with special loyalty arrangements which enable me to offer you best prices around!

Solar Panel I recommended is a mono-crystalline type panel at 230Wp, model BRC230-156M60. Please do check 230Wp Borun New Energy specs and compare to other panels around and you will see that this panels is up to standard with other high end makes, specs.

Sandi is the company that has the good stuff but the world does not know about yet. Check for you self the specs this company presents its inverters with. I had in mind of promoting SME,the sunnyBoy inverters which you will know for sure, if you have made some pv homework, as they are the most widely used inverters, but felt bad knowing that Sandi’s specs are superior. Sandi does keep up with providing any size from 0.5KW to large 50KW, single and 3 phase models.

I will be issuing stats on systems made up of Sandi and Borun New Energy so do keep in touch…

How to choose how large system should be?

Tips:
·          To get an idea on how large your system should be each 230W panels is almost enough to generate 1KWh per day.
·          In Malta the electricity company will commit it’s self to sell you 1KWh at 0.25EUR
·          MRA (Malta Resource Authority) will provide you with rebates up to 3,000EUR usually refundable after 3 to 4 months after installation.

Units / Kwh:
I used enemalta 2 prototype systems installed in sliema and bugibba as a guide to how much a solar system installed on a  Malta roof generates electricity. (Can look up google “enenmalta pv system”)
Sliema, Malta
Bugibba, Malta

Sharp & Sandi combination

As you might want to look on the internet re solar panels makes, I supply Sharp solar panels, which are by far the best solar system you can get and are second to none when it comes to solar technology experience. Sharp have been in the solar business for 50 years and for example 25years ago they where the Japanese technology that had solar panels attached to satellites orbiting around the earth. This is to what extent these manufacturers have had their products proven and tested requiring minimum to none maintenance withstanding extreme conditions. As for the inverter make I provide both SME and Sandi inverters. SME are the most widely used inverters but I prefer inverters from Sandi having same guarantee as most SME models but have better specs (operating efficiencies 97% to 98%) due to the very good research and development department this small company has.

System I recommend:
Solar panels – Sharp Model: ND-F230(A1) @ 230W polycrystalline
Inverter Transformer less technology – Sandi Models: SDS-1500W, SDS-2000W, SDS-2500W, SDS-3000W, SDS-4000W, SDS-5000W

Prices for Malta (EU) including VAT – Sandi & Sharp:Find below setups of 230W Sharp panels + Sandi inverter + delivery + installation + engineer inspection:

6 panels     1.38KWpower    9.6m2 roof area    EUR4000 (less EUR1885.53 rebate) = EUR2114.47
8 panels     1.84KWpower    12.8m2 roof area    EUR5244 (less EUR2508 rebate) = EUR2736
10 panels     2.3KWpower    16m2 roof area    EUR6325 (less EUR3000 rebate)= EUR3325
15 panels     3.45KWpower    24m2 roof area    EUR8900 (less EUR3000 rebate)= EUR5900
17 panels     3.91KWpower    27.2m2 roof area    EUR9450 (less EUR3000 rebate)=EUR6450

Above prices are for sharp panels and include delivery and installation and engineer approval. Very good and German (TUV) approved alternative panels at a better price are also available.

Purchase PV system In Malta

This 3610W system will render you at minimum 1,116EUR a year
(How did I arrive to this 1116EUR a year; considering 5 hours a day of full power for 275 sunny days a year at 90% efficiency power at 25cents euro, 0.25EUR / KWHour is 8years guaranteed rate enemata will buy electricity generated for,
i.e. 3.610KW*5hours*275days a year *90% efficiency * 0.25EUR Enemalta buying price = EUR1116 a year)

Please note that I have other makes, another more expensive monocrystalline make and a german make that is not ideal for house roofs but for PV farms as panels are less wattage per square meter. I would like to emphesis that in PVs brand does not make a large difference in quality but does in price, as all panels are made from same material which is monocrystalline matter and guarantees are very similar between different brands as panel is just the mono crystalline material and just a aluminum frame and 2 wires connected to this mono crystalline material. MRA approves all TUV certified panels/inverters as MRA strongly believes that a TUV certification + typical guarantees is much more than enough to decide if a product is of the right high quality for MRA to sponsor/giving out money for a PV system.

MRA List of approved solar panel systems- look for Mark-Anthony Mifsud in list:
List of Approved MRA Panels on 7th July 2011

Note that MRA will accept application from 25July 2011 for 10days for the 1st 2000 applications. I will have to photograph your roof and send you a prefilled Part A application and an invoice for system which you will have to submit on the 25th of this month together with ID card copy and last electricity bill. After this application submission MRA will issue the go ahead that system and you are eligible for a rebate so you can proceed to buy system. I do not require a deposit before you receive the go ahead from MRA that you are eligable for rebate, but than will require you to pay 65% on order and last 35% on completion of installation.
